Kamloops
The team was welcomed to Kamloops in the evening of day two for a reception hosted by Venture Kamloops. Guests included BC MLA and Minister of Environment Terry Lake, MP Cathy McLeod, Mayor Peter Milobar, Tk’emlups Indian Band CEO John O’fee, City Councilors Tina Lange and Denis Walsh.
The TIRs ended a busy week with a full day program hosted again by Venture Kamloops at the Interior Savings Centre. The event was well attended by companies from Kamloops and neighbouring communities of Salmon Arm, Merritt, Clearwater, Lillooet and Lytton. Kamloops’ Mayor Peter Milobar opened up the session followed by market overviews from each TIR. The afternoon consisted of 1-on-1 meetings with companies such as CanDig, Inland Glass and investment pitches from Ashcroft Terminals, Windcor and Tobiano.
