June 3rd - Comox Valley Echo – Local businesses Seek Boost from Overseas Trade Team

Nine provincial trade and investment representatives working in seven countries were the Comox Valley Wednesday to meet with businesses wanting to expand into overseas markets. It was the first time the provincial government has sent all its trade ambassadors into rural regions of B.C. to work with companies, regional economic development agencies and communities in a bid to boost both exports and inward investment.

June 2nd - Prince George Citizen – Trade Team Leaves P.G. Smiling

Two days of visits by B.C.'s international trade representatives have come and gone, and Prince George is the better for it, according to hosting organization Initiatives Prince George (IPG) vice president Kathie Scouten. Cathy Yao, B.C.'s sales lead in South China, helped Prince George twin with the city of Jiangmen which has already sent an inbound trade delegation with a slate of mutual business opportunities now being explored.

May 27th - Asian Journal – B.C.’s Trade & Investment Rep in India Visiting the Province to Help Business Expand into Indian Market

British Columbia's India-based trade and investment representative Pratap Raju, who operates out of Bangalore, told Asian Journal this week that although India and Canada do not feature in each others Top 10 trading partner country list, Canadian High Commissioner to India Stewart Beck has been given the charge to triple Canadian-Indian trade in the next three years from the currently reported $4.5-5 billion to $15 billion by the year 2015.
