Spring trade mission grows trade relationships in China and Indonesia

The recent 12-day spring trade mission led by Minister of International Trade Teresa Wat broke new ground in growing B.C.’s relationships in China and Indonesia.   In China, Minister Wat visited two provinces that hold great promise for expanded trade and investment with British Columbia: Zhejiang and Jiangsu. These provinces “have the potential of opening new business opportunities similar to Guangdong Province where we have strong ties and continue to maintain those connections” said Minister Wat. British Columbia invests $6.2 million to grow global wood markets

The Government of British Columbia is investing $6.2 million to support the forest sector in expanding global markets for B.C. wood products. The funding is being made available to several industry trade associations that deliver market development programs on behalf of government and industry.
