The Port of Nanaimo Experiencing Growth and Expansion

Boasting a year-round ice-free port and a strategic location on the west coast of Canada, the Port of Nanaimo has been in the centre of cargo activities for over a century, and is the largest public cargo port on Vancouver Island. With a growing economy in B.C., it is an exciting time for the Port as it launches two large projects—increasing its marina capacity and building a vehicle processing facility.
