Exploring New Opportunities in Vietnam

Diversifying export markets and expanding B.C.’s trade network into new frontiers will be the focus of the upcoming trade mission to China from Oct. 30 – Nov. 7, led by Premier Christy Clark. Sister Province Relations Strengthen Trade and Cultural Ties

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Sister Province relationship between British Columbia and Guangdong Province in China.  China has become one of B.C.’s most important economic partners, second only to the United States. Twenty years ago, B.C. exported just over $300 million worth of goods to China annually. In 2014, $6.3 billion worth of goods was exported to China. ​Premier Christy Clark Leading Trade Mission to China

British Columbia Premier Christy Clark will be leading an international trade mission to China from Oct.30 - Nov. 7, 2015, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the B.C.-Guangdong Sister Province agreement and promote exports in key sectors such as  liquefied natural gas (LNG), agrifoods, clean technology, and information and communications technology (ICT).  Joining her will be International Trade Minister Teresa Wat who will also continue on a trip to Vietnam until November 11.
