Food & Hotel Asia 2024

ATTEND ASIA’S LARGEST FOOD & BEVERAGE INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE

British Columbia’s Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation (JEDI) invites you to showcase your products and expand your export sales at Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) – Food & Beverage (F&B) from April 23 to 26, 2024.

FHA is the largest F&B showcase in Southeast Asia. It is held annually in Singapore. In 2023, the show attracted 50,000 attendees and 1,300+ exhibitors from 50+ countries/regions. The show features food and beverage, food ingredients, and food processing and packaging technology.

Applications are now open to B.C. companies and associations interested in co-exhibiting within the B.C. booth in the Canada Pavilion. Our 72 sqm B.C.-branded booth will include counters with company signage, bistro stools, meeting tables with chairs, spotlights, wastebasket, basic electricity and wireless internet service. There may be additional education and promotion opportunities and a one-to-one meeting program coordinated by B.C. and Canada’s in-market representatives.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must demonstrate the following to participate:

• Have a head office in B.C. or be a business registered in B.C.
• Market products that have been produced, processed* or manufactured in B.C.
• Have an established market within Canada
• Be currently exporting to Asia or ready to export to the Asian market with the appropriate financial, personnel, and production resources to meet orders from international buyers

Participants will be required to:

• Agree to an Exhibitor Release and Waiver of Liability
• Share with government representatives high-level information on sales, meetings and business deals completed at, or resulting from, the show
• Always have a staff member present in the booth for the duration of the show

Due to limited space in the B.C. booth, companies expressing interest in co-exhibiting will be selected through an application and review process which will incorporate a number of criteria including: alignment of product(s) with target market preferences, frequency of past participation in B.C. sponsored exhibition booths, and company sales performance in past exhibitions.

*B.C. processed food is any food, seafood or beverage product processed and packaged in B.C. with more than 85 per cent of the product’s main ingredients produced in B.C. In cases where the main ingredients are not available in the province in sufficient quantities, the food must be processed and packaged entirely in B.C.

COST

Successful applicants will be required to submit a non-refundable $500 participation fee and will be responsible for their own travel costs, such as flight, accommodation, and transportation, as well as marketing materials.

FUNDING SUPPORT

You may be eligible for cost-shared funding of up to 50% towards your travel and other show-related expenses from:

• BC Agriculture and Food Export Program – Intake: Jan 8 to Feb 2, 2024. Allow 8 weeks for processing.
• CanExport SMEs – Monitor website for next intake dates. Allow 60 business days for processing.
