Boston Bar First Nation, located at Anderson Creek in the Fraser Canyon administers social programs and support funding for a membership of about 300. Our programming strategies promote a learning communities approach that encompasses every band of the Nlaka’pamux territory, with an emphasis on fostering renewal of the Nlaka’pamux language and culture, in collaboration with the broader community.

We provide Employment and Essential Skills development opportunities for our members with in-service training of local youth and unemployed adults in the tourism, forestry, fishery, agricultural and business industries. Through a mutually beneficial workforce training strategy and programs to increase employability skills of canyon residents , we envision a community where all members can contribute to a more diversified and self-reliant local economy.

Boston Bar First Nation operates four businesses and a community health clinic. Our business ventures include:

Bear Gas Bar/convenience store

Tuckkwiowhum Restaurant

Anderson Creek Campground and

Tuckkwiowhum Heritage Interpretive Village which provides guided tours and interactive cultural displays and presentations.

Boston Bar First Nation has over 300 members living both on and off reserve. We are currently involved in forestry initiatives, cultural/environmental awareness projects and other social programs.
