Investments & Partnerships - Partnership

Vancouver Lower Mainland/Southwest Greater Vancouver Forestry Partnership $500,000 to $2 million

~ Alran Industries Ltd. offers a small business Investment / JV opportunity in manufacturing of Cross Laminated Timber panels in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, or any location.

~ CLT is a cost-competitive, strong, light, multi-layer, solid wood, ready-to-use building panel system made of sustainably harvested wood. It is quickly and easily assembled at point of use to form complete new low or high-rise structures or complement existing construction.

~ CLT buildings rate well in resistance to fire, sound performance and stand up very well in earthquakes. CLT possesses positive environmental characteristics common to wood, including carbon storage, less manufacturing greenhouse gas emissions and much lighter environmental footprint than non-wood materials.

~ Alran is a family owned small business with a 50+ year history in the British Columbia forest industry. Alran staff has a broad range of hands on and management experience including timber cruising, log scaling, planning, harvesting, saw milling, custom cutting, value adding, publishing, administration and marketing of forest products.

~ Alran diligently looks for innovative uses of wood, most recently conducting R&D on small volume manufacture of Cross Laminated Timber. Making their first CLT by hand provided valuable working knowledge of the practical options for producing CLT Panels competitively on a small scale.

~ Alran has designed and shop built a proto-type semi-automated system, that feeds boards with glue lines applied, through the system onto the layup table and vacuum press, side by side until the layer is full, repeated, each layer 90 degrees to the last until design thickness is reached. The proto-type could produce 50+m3 / month / shift of 10' x 12' x 4" thick CLT panels. Our scaled-up production version of the system will produce sixteen 10’ x 20’ x 4" panels / shift, equaling up to 460 m3 / month single shift, or 10,000 m3 + / year on 2 shifts.

~ R&D cost analysis, and Business Plan forecast indicates an EBTID of $112 / m3 of CLT in year 1, growing to $168 / m3 in year 3.

After successfully completing our R&D and fully decomissioning our test facility, we are now seeking investors to enable building of the actual production scale equipment / system in a much larger plant allowing us to custom manufacture and market small to medium volume orders of CLT panels. We look forward to meeting with interested active or passive local and immigrant investors or joint venture partners.
