Double Negative is Positive About B.C.

Double Negative is Positive About B.C.

Double Negative, Europe’s largest visual effects company, is now operating in Vancouver after opening a new office in B.C. in the fall of 2014, citing the province’s great talent pool and a very supportive government that wants to encourage the media business.

With a strong visual effects cluster, Double Negative feels that B.C. has a very healthy marketplace and is a great destination for clients from the film, television and animation industries in the USA and Canada.

Winner of two Academy Awards for its work on the films Inception and Interstellar, Double Negative is one of the most active and creative visual effects providers in operation today. It recently expanded into television work, with projects including Sony’s Outlander, ITV’s Mr Selfridge and BBC’s Death in Paradise. Its feature animation division has just opened to work with IP creators and filmmakers.

B.C.’s Ministry of International Trade, its European Trade and Investment Office in London, the Vancouver Economic Commission and Creative BC all worked with Double Negative to provide the firm with information and contacts that would help its decision making. Based in London, Double Negative has facilities in Singapore as well as its newly opened Vancouver complex.

The Ministry of International Trade helps international investors, buyers, and other key partners do business with British Columbia companies through a network of local contacts. Knowledgeable staff also help international businesses discover the benefits of British Columbia as a destination for investment, a partner for trade and innovation, and a source of quality goods, services, and resources around the world.
