Vaudeville’s U.K. and U.S. post audio studios are based out of London, Brighton and Hollywood. Specializing in creative sound design and mixing for television, streaming platforms, commercials, trailers and promo spots for broadcast, theatrical and digital formats, the company has drawn on some of the best, award-winning talent in the business. The new Vancouver studio, which opened in March of 2020, will further Vaudeville’s expansion in the digital media sector. Vaudeville’s exceptional work has earned them awards and nominations including BAFTA, LIA, Cli, RES, British Arrows, Cannes Lions, New York Festival and D&AD.
Following the Pocket Gamer Connects conference in London, Vaudeville Studio’s Managing Director, Daniel Jones attended a reception hosted by BC Trade and Invest, the Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC) and The Canadian High Commission, which took place last January at Canada House. Trade and Invest BC’s European representative supported the VEC in discussing the advantages of a location in British Columbia to Vaudeville Studios.
British Columbia offers an established tech sector, skilled and experienced talent and access to a range of tech and tools. Vancouver also offers quick transportation and shared time zones with other digital media hubs, making it easy to collaborate and work across the industry. The opportunities to grow in British Columbia make good business sense and were a deciding factor in Vaudeville’s search for a new location.
Daniel Jones continues to be impressed with the talent in Vancouver and is enthusiastic about continuing Vaudeville’s ethos of investing in and supporting the ongoing growth of the post production industry.
Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 globally, Vaudeville Studios has seen an increase in business at its Vancouver studio.
