In attracting both industry and business to the District of New Hazelton, we have some strategic advantages that make us one of the most attractive places to conduct business in British Columbia. We have some of the lowest industrial and commercial property tax rates in the province and have made a point of not burdening business with red tape by implementing only necessary by-laws and regulations.
The District of New Hazelton is also a major land owner in our region and has a variety of land available for sale and is willing to consider proposals from potential developers or investors. In addition to our many business advantages, New Hazelton along with its neighbouring communities offers many advantages to residents. This includes inexpensive housing, several recreational opportunities, great healthcare facilities, and a sense of community that is rarely matched.
