Only one-half kilometer to the north is popular Rathtrevor Provincial Park. This scenic section of the Island Highway is part of the oceanfront route that runs from the south side of Parksville to Campbell River. It also connects directly to the Inland Island Highway (19) that provides a faster route to the Comox Valley and the North Island.
